Can I watch my dog while they’re in daycare?

Yes, we have live cameras available during our daytime business hours so you can watch your pup at play!

What are the requirements for my dog to join daycare?

In order to join daycare, your dog must be vaccinated against rabies, bordetella, and DAPP. Young dogs, under 6 months, do not need to be spayed or neutered. Dogs over 6 months do need to be spayed or neutered. And, all dogs need to complete (1) one-hour Daycare Evaluation and (1) Half-Day Daycare Session(at least 3 hours).

What does a typical daycare day look like?

Our enrichment-based dog daycare provides our dogs with mentally and physically stimulating activities beyond basic supervision or play. This means that dogs will engage in experiences, like agility courses, treat puzzles, and positive reinforcement training, that help promote their overall well-being and development.

While our facilities are located in the lower level of our buildings, your pup will get outdoor time with relief walks during the day. We also offer additional 30-minute strolls in the park if your dog wants to extend their time outside.

Do you separate dogs by size?

Depending on the location, we do separate dogs by size and temperament as much as possible. Throw Me A Bone also have private areas for dogs to have quiet time throughout the day.

This is my first time, how do I book daycare?

Don’t worry, getting started is easy. Just follow these simple steps to register:
Click the BOOK NOW button at the top right section of our website, select a service and location to create a new client account:
1. complete a client profile
2. complete a pet(s) profile
3. enter your credit card information
4. Request Services
After completing the registration process, one of our managers will contact you to confirm your pet care needs and customize your service experience.

How far in advance do I need to book?

We do our best to accommodate last-minute requests, but suggest booking as early as possible to ensure availability.

Can my dog come to different locations?

Yes! If you have multiple residences or your work location changes, your dog can attend any of our locations. Their profile transfers between facilities. Just book at whichever location is most convenient that day. Some clients use Hell's Kitchen during the week and Brooklyn on weekends.

What's your cancellation policy?

We require 24 hours notice for cancellations. Cancel before 6pm the day prior and you won't be charged. Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) or no-shows are charged full price. Package days can be rescheduled within the package period. We understand emergencies happen—contact us if you have an extenuating circumstance.

How do I prepare my dog for their first day?

Feed breakfast early (at least 2 hours before drop-off) to prevent upset stomach during play. Bring current vaccination records if not already on file. A tired dog from a morning walk will actually do better—they'll be calmer during introduction. Don't bring valuable toys or collars. And don't worry—nervous is normal! Most dogs adjust within 15-30 minutes. You can watch on the play cam to see them settle in.

Can you give my pet medication, or feed them?

Absolutely. We’re happy to assist pets with special needs such as administering medications, fluids or special dietary supplements. We can also put down your pet’s meal if you won’t be able to. Feedings are also included.
